Tommy is the Director of High Performance Sport at the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario. In this role, he manages the Sports System and Excellence business unit and provides leadership within CSIO for the support of various high performance programs, targeted Provincial and National Sport Organizations, partners and stakeholders. In doing so, Tommy oversees CSIO’s primary high performance development program, the Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative (OHPSI). Tommy also assists in providing overall leadership and direction for the CSIO in the design and implementation of the strategic plan.

Prior to his work with the CSIO, Tommy was a National Team Coach for Sail Canada. In this role, Tommy experienced international competitions of the highest level, working at over 15 World Championships and European Championships. Tommy also coached at the 2004 Olympic Games and 2008 Olympic Games for Canada, and was Team Leader for Sailing at the 2007 Pan American Games. Tommy was recognized as Sail Canada’s Coach of the Year in 2000. As a former National Team athlete himself, Tommy competed for Canada at numerous World Championships and international circuit events throughout his career.
