Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) is proud to recognize Natalie D’Alessandro and Bruce Waddell as the OHPSI Athletes of the Month. Natalie and Bruce recently won silver in Ice Dance at the 2019 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Event held in Egna/Neumarkt (Italy) from October 2-5, 2019.
The Ice Dance duo have had a successful season so far, with three additional Top 5 finishes of note. Natalie and Bruce finished 1st at the 2019 Ontario Sectionals (Junior), 3rd at the 2019 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships (Jr), and 4th at the Junior Grand Prix Riga Cup.

As identified athletes through CSIO’s Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative (OHPSI), Natalie and Bruce have access to sport science and sport medicine support. This includes sport science and physiology support for physical testing and monitoring throughout the training and competition, and health monitoring and therapy treatments with one of our physiotherapists.
We wish Natalie and Bruce luck as they continue their season and prepare for the 2020 Skate Canada National Championships in Mississauga from January 13-19.
