Wed, 31 January 2018- 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
You’re invited to a very special Lunch and Learn on January 31st!
As you may know, Bell Let’s Talk Day is a wide-reaching program designed to break the silence around mental illness and support mental health all across Canada.
To mark the day at CSIO this year, we are offering a two-part Lunch and Learn on Wednesday January 31, revolving around the theme of “Self Care.” Both sessions are open to CSIO staff and athletes alike, and we hope to make this a fun, informal day to interact with one another and break down some of the barriers related to mental health.
The first part of this Lunch and Learn will be held in the CSIO Performance Kitchen, and will be a cooking workshop centering on comfort food. This session will run from 11:30am-12:30pm, and the menu and activity will be prepping and cooking homemade grilled cheese and tomato soup! Space for this part of the session is capped at 25, so make sure to reserve a spot early!
The second part of the session will be an interactive Lunch and Learn, held in the CSIO Pan Am Boardroom on the from 12:30-1:30pm. This will be a conversation led by CSIO’s Rolf Wagschal, and as mentioned above will centre around the importance of self-care, and ideas for different activities to engage in, that foster better mental health.
(A note to CSIO staff – priority will be given to athlete registrations for the nutrition session, so all staff who register will be automatically waitlisted. All staff are able to join for the second part of the workshop, so please register do to so. Once we have a better idea of numbers, we will open up as many nutrition spots as possible).
We look forward to seeing you there!
