Presenter - Sam Gevaux, Leeds Beckett University
Wednesday September 6th – 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Canadian Sport Institute Ontario
As coaches, we often assume a great knowledge of our sport, but do we truly understand how it is performed? If we do not know how it is performed how do we know what to analyze, what to plan and what to reflect upon.
Sam will share with you his research on how you can create a mental model to assist in your coaching decision-making.
Sam will focus on the importance for coaches to have a vision and understanding how to implement that vision with the right pedagogical tools.
Sam is originally from the UK and recently moved to Canada. Sam has a B.Sc (Hons) in Sport Coaching and expects to receive his M.Sc in Sport Coaching in September.
