Biography: 

Stephen graduated from the University of Ulster with a BSc (Hons) Sports & Exercise Science (2009) and the University of Edinburgh with a MSc Strength & Conditioning (2012). He is also an Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach (ASCC), obtained through the U.K. Strength & Conditioning Association (2014).

Stephen is currently working with Cycling Canada Track program and is based at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. Before moving to the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, Stephen has worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for Rugby Canada, Sports Institute Northern Ireland, Sportscotland Institute of Sport and the Scottish Rugby Union. He has experience working with athletes from a variety of sports, including Olympic and Paralympic athletes in both individual and team sports. Stephen’s professional and research interests include training-load monitoring and athlete readiness, strength and power diagnostics, training periodization and return to performance training.
