Henry McKay and Victor Povzner have been competing together as a 3M synchro team since 2017. Henry began diving at 7 years old with the Nepean Ottawa Diving Club, before relocating to Toronto in 2015 to train at the Diving Plongeon Canada High Performance Athlete Development training centre in Toronto.
Victor began diving at 5 years old with Optimal Diving in Markham, and currently attends the in-reach training weekends with the DPC HPAD Centre in Toronto.
Despite training at different clubs, Henry and Victor make every effort to train together once per week throughout the year. Victor also competes in the 1M and Henry in the 3M individual events.
Henry and Victor as a team placed 1st at the Dresden International diving competition in 3 meter synchro in the ‘A’ category (U19), where they scored a total of 292.56 points. Henry and Victor also won a gold medal at the 2017 Junior Pan American Championships in the 3M synchro event with their personal best score of 307 points. Victor also won a bronze medal in the individual 1M event.
