Day 2 from Poland: Mandy Bujold

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Hello Everyone,

Day 2 update from the Feliks Stamm Memorial in Warsaw, Poland.

This afternoon I was in the first bout against Lydia Boussaida of France. This was the second time I fought Lydia this year. She is a very tough opponent and the last fight we had was very close but today I was able to keep the momentum going from my win yesterday and came out with a 13-8 Win. Again today I felt very good in the ring and was able to control the fight from the opening bell, I knew when I had to pick it up and used my speed to out-point my opponent.

In the other 51kg quarter-final bout, on my side of the bracket Lisa Whiteside of England faced Clenia Costa of Brazil. This was a very close match going back and forth between both boxers. Lisa Whiteside came out with with the win in the end.

Therefore, my opponent for the semi-finals will be Lisa Whiteside of England. The bout will take place tomorrow April 25th at 11am (5am Kitchener)

All the bouts are streaming live on this Site. http://www.mtbs.pl/
Please note there are 2 rings…the female bouts take place in Ring B

Also fighting today will be my teammate Mary Spencer. Mary will face Natalie Holinska of Poland at 5pm. (11am Kitchener)

Unfortunately, Brody and Arthur both lost their bouts last night. They both fought hard but had very tough and experienced opponents.

More updates to follow!

Thanks for your support!
