FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CANADIAN FEMALE ATHLETES GET BOOST FROM SPORTS BRA

Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) has partnered with Anita Canada to provide Performance Sport Bras to its athletes, coaches and performance staff.  Anita Canada is a global brand with a proven expertise in sport bras ranging from A to H cup.  Anita has been recognized for its innovation and performance design in sport bra engineering winning two Red Dot Awards and an ISPO Award.

In addition, Anita Canada will support a variety of women’s programs and initiatives led by the CSIO through a generous financial contribution. The goal of these programs is to inspire and educate female athletes, coaches, practitioners and sport administrators in their skill development as leaders in the sport community and career pathway.

“We are excited about our partnership with Anita Canada, and for our female athletes and staff to be able to experience Anita performance sport bras.  It is a superior product that we believe will benefit the athletes in their training and performance,” said Debbie Low, CEO, Canadian Sport Institute Ontario.

Research in Breast Health from the University of Portsmouth Research Group has found substantial evidence supporting the importance of breast support while training and during competition. It has been found that inadequate breast support may affect the forces produced by a female runner which could negatively impact her sports performance.

“We are thrilled to partner with CSIO in support of our female athletes and their goals. This topic has never been considered before by sport organizations and we applaud the CSIO for taking the lead in Canada.  We know a performance sport bra in an athlete’s kit will make a difference and look forward to seeing the results,” said Mark Caskenette, Managing Director, Anita Canada.

The goal is to ensure all Canadian female athletes at the provincial, national and international level have the best support to ultimately improve their sport performance.
